Price

It is 3000 yen per person for a night, both the 4 bed female dormitory and 7 bed mixed dormitory.

Check-in time

Check-in time is between 16:00 and 22:00.

Please inform us for the arrangement if your arrival time is later than 22:00.

Check-out time

Check-out time is 11:00.

It is highly appreciated if you bring your sheets, pillow case and when checking out.

Leave your heavy luggage with us

We are happy to keep your luggage before your check-in, and after check-out, except between 14:00 and 16:00 (closing hours).

We have a safe to keep your valuable safe during your time at IchiEnSou.

Dormitory

We only have two dormitories at IchiEnSou Guesthouse, hoping everybody shares information and wonderful experiences in Japan with other travellers!

Note

We kindly request that no food, drink or smoking in the guesthouse. We desire to provide a comfortable stay for all our guests.

We would also like to mention that there are neighbours who have lived in the area for generations. Please consider their lifestyle and respect the quiet environment of the area.

IchiEnSou Guesthouse

IchiEnSou Guesthouse was renovated in late 2007 to make your stay in Kyoto as comfortable as possible and yet retain the original features of the original house which was built during the 1920's.

We have one 4 bed female dormitory and one 7 bed mixed dormitory.

Ideal location

IchiEnSou Guesthouse is located in an idyllic location, one street off the main street in Gion, Kyoto. The guesthouse is quietly located, yet close to main attractions, near both the city centre and numerous famous temples and shrines. It is only 5-6 minutes walk to the CBD and 1 minute to the street where Geisha are seen as a part of ordinary day life.
